3G iPhone Review:Pros and Cons
The new 3G iphone look is pretty much the same except for the back of 3G iPhone has a little curve plastic instead of a flat back. It still has the multi- touch feature which I think is really cool letting you type with a virtual keyboard, zoom, pan, change your view with ease. The first moment a friend of mine showed me how cool his 3G iPhone was, I was so impressed and wanted to get one for myself immidiately. :)
The Pros:
-The speed:3G iphone has much faster internet connection that runs on a 3G network. With a Safari browser for mobile, you can browse the web really fast. It has Yahoo search built-in. Also, for all the fans of Google out there, with 3G iPhone, your Google is in your pocket!
-GPS mapping: It has a GPS radio feature letting you know much precise your location. You can even bookmark or share your location with other via email. We are talking about web 2.0 here which let people socialize and share. In addition, it also let you find a point of interest nearby by just entering a keyword. That's really convenience in case I am the road and need to find some hotel or restaurant. You can get a list of turn by turn directions and live traffic information along your route.
-The price: much cheaper than the old one. The upfront cost has been cut in half from 399 to 199 for the 8GB version.
-Email: 3G iPhone supports most popular email platform including yahoo, msn,gmail, aol. It also supports email attachment such as ones in pdf, word, excel, powerpoint, jpeg and iwork. You can view your attachment just as you would on your computer. With Microsoft Exchange Activesync, it delivers email, contacts, calendar with a push of a button.
-Services: 3G iPhone supports third party service like game and apps downloading either free or paid service. Over 15000+ of apps have been developped just for iPhone!
The Cons:
-Even though 3G iPhone has GPS mapping with turn by turn directions, it still lack of voice nagivation feature that other GPS devices have.
-Even though you pay less the upfront but it will cost you more with a 2 year contract because of a higher monthly data access fee. If you are worried about the high fee then you have an option to buy a turbo sim card to unlock your iPhone or just buy an unlocked iPhone that you can easily find on eBay and you can use your iPhone with any carrier of your choice.
-The battery life for 3G iPhone is much weaker so you have to pay attention to it if you are on the go.
With all the benefits and features besides the cons that 3G iPhone has above, I think it's worth it to get one of those for your own whether for personal or business purposes. With all the games and apps avaiable, you are going to have a lot of fun with it. 3G iPhone has changed the way how we use a cell phone and how a cell phone should be and it will continue to do so for many years to come.
